Andréanne: Après une longue attente, notre Lune de Miel a bel et bien débuté, mais pas comme nous l'avions prévue!
Nous devions embarquer à bord du train le Canadien samedi soir à 22h en direction de Vancouver, mais la vie en a décidé autrement. Un délais sur le train en provenance de Vancouver nous empêchait de partir avant le dimanche matin. Comme rien n'arrive pour rien, bien au contraire, tout arrive pour le mieux, une chambre d'hôtel au Fairmont Royal York nous attendait. Les employés de VIA Rail ont tout fait pour rendre notre expérience inoubliable!
En attente pour un départ imminent dans le Salon Affaires, toujours aussi excités d'être ensemble en amoureux.
Le bonheur est facile lorsque l'on prend le temps d'être reconnaissant :)
William: Here we are! Our long awaited honeymoon (we got married in September, but couldn't leave until now as I was finishing teacher's college throughout the year) has begun, although not exactly as we had expected. Our train, VIA's #1 Canadian, from Toronto to Vancouver was scheduled to leave at 10pm last night, but due to freight traffic, our train was stuck somewhere in Northern Ontario.
Sometimes things happen for a reason; often it happens for the best! VIA was ready to make sure our honeymoon began with ceremony, so they booked us (and most of the other passengers) into the Fairmont Royal York hotel across the street from Union Station. This historic hotel had us exploring our own city like travellers from afar; while enjoying a cocktail in the piano bar. An unexpected but most welcome turn of events! We are now excitedly preparing to board our train here in the business lounge at Union Station. Whatever happens next, we are now ready to welcome to unexpected!
